About the event

Perceptions of justice vary depending upon where people are positioned in the criminal justice system. The view from the bench is very different from that of the defendant’s box. Join our discussion of how justice and race play out in the courtroom and beyond.

Omari Amili is an author, advocate, and educator who was formerly incarcerated via the school-to-prison pipeline.

Victoria Pratt is Chief Judge in Newark Municipal Court in New Jersey, and strong advocate for reform of the criminal justice system.
