Graduate Recital: Raul E. Blanco, piano

About the event

Raul E. Blanco will be performing a selection of his own original compositions and arrangements of jazz standards.This performance will serve as fulfillment for the requirements of class MUS 522.

Second year Graduate student Raul E Blanco pursuits a master’s degree with emphasis in jazz piano. He is original from Cuba where he studied at the music conservatory from an early age. He received his Undergraduate degree at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas. His combination of a Cuban style with jazz traits make his performances vivid and enthusiastic experiences. Raul will be accompanied by two ensembles he conducts at the university, WSU Latin Ensemble and Jazz Wires. He will also play solo and trio pieces.
