Dr. Hannah Ransom is a percussionist and music educator whose work has been informed by her passion for contemporary repertoire, immersion in world traditions, and advocacy for diversity in the fields of music performance and composition. Based in her hometown of Missoula, Montana, Dr. Ransom is the Interim Professor of Percussion at the University of Montana. She also teaches privately, performs with the Missoula Symphony Orchestra, and serves the area’s schools as a percussion coach and festival adjudicator. Hannah received a DMA degree from the University of Arizona, a master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and bachelor’s degrees in both music education and performance from the University of Montana.
