Professor Aaron Bobrow- Strain from Whitman College will discuss how problems at the US-Mexico border are not solely a feature of failed immigration policies, but part of a larger story of an inequality involving deindustrialization, the destruction of unions, and the creation of a border security industrial complex. It will draw from his best-selling book The Death and Life of Aida Hernandez.
