The Program in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) and the Gender Identity/Expression, Sexual Resource Center (GIESORC) invite all to the 2021 InQueery Symposium on Tuesday, November 16th from 4:00-7:00pm via Zoom (register at the link below to receive the Zoom link). This online symposium will feature 3 concurrent student panels from 4:00-5:30pm followed by the keynote speaker, Emily Thuma, author of All Our Trials: Prisons, Policing, and the Feminist Fight to End Violence at 5:45-6:00pm. Her talk is titled “The Queer Politics of Feminist Abolition.” She is an Assistant Professor of Politics and Law at the University of Washington, Tacoma and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies at the University of Washington, Seattle.
