Lisa Brown is the Democratic candidate running for Washington’s 5th Congressional district, the seat currently held by Cathy McMorris-Rodgers. Brown served in the Washington State Legislature for more than 20 years, and served as Senate Majority Leader from 2005 – 2013. After leaving the legislature, she became chancellor of Washington State University Spokane until 2017, where she oversaw the creation of the College of Medicine.
