Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service
About the event
The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) invites students, faculty, staff and community members to come together to make our world a better place through service in celebration of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. This is the only federal holiday that is a national day of service! The CCE is offering a variety of service projects throughout the Palouse, and more information on these activities is available online at cce.wsu.edu/ndos/mlk. We hope to see you on this national day of service to celebrate an inspirational American, Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s theory of relativity to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace; a soul generated by love.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr., “The Drum Major Instinct”, February 4, 1968
