About the event

Adolescents and young people of the African diaspora face relatively similar rates of depression and anxiety as their White peers but there are disparities in the treatment of mental illnesses. What are some of the non-financial barriers to securing appropriate mental health care?

Dr. Alfiee Breland-Noble, an expert on depression engagement and treatment for Black youth, families and communities, will discuss ways to address these disparities.
