Opera Workshop
About the event
Celebrating the operatic output of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the WSU Opera Workshop program will be presenting Magnificent Mozart with scenes from two of his most famous comic operas, Le Nozze di Figaro and Cosi fan tutte. Although composed in the late 18th century, the stories are timeless, involving philandering husbands, scheming servants and young lovers. Directed by Dr. Julie Anne Wieck and accompanied by Dr. Mark Stevens, the cast consists of music majors, Katie Berndt, Kristina Gaumnitz, Anya Guadamuz, Clare Sullivan, Theo Mynka, and Daniel Jinguji, as well as non-majors, Cristian Garza and Connor McEvoy. The performance is free and open to the public.
