About the event

Do you want to create change in the world?

How can you move an idea to an impact?

Let us help you find out!

  • Meet like-minded change agents
  • Take action and create something new
  • Build skills that support your talents
  • Discover WSU resources to move your ideas forward

Learn, Create and Impact at WSU!

Join us to meet the Cougs and resources that will help you turn your #Passion2Impact, and hear how other Cougs are pursuing their passion while helping others, developing opportunities, and making a positive impact on the world.

Who should come?

  • Anyone who wants to hear about the impact being made by fellow Cougs by partnering, starting companies, and creating opportunities for students to get real-world problem solving experience,
  • Anyone with an idea who would like to build a team and make a positive impact on the world with that idea,
  • Anyone who is interested in funding for prototype development and wants to hear about funding opportunities at WSU,
  • Students looking for interesting ideas for Carson College Business Plan Competition in spring,
  • Alumni and Moscow-Pullman community members who want to see how Cougs are making an impact here and around the world,
  • Anyone interested in joining WSU I-Corps or other entrepreneurial experience programs,
  • Research teams that want to learn to partner with industry or find other opportunities to make a bigger impact with their research.

What Will This Event Be Like?

WSU I-Corps, Entrepreneurial Faculty Ambassadors, Center For Entrepreneurial Studies, Frank Entrepreneurship Institute, and Office of Research will talk BRIEFLY about opportunities available through their programs.

Innovators from across campus will give 1-Minute Pitches about their goals for making an impact, describing:

  • Their idea
  • The current state of development
  • What they would like to accomplish (make a prototype, form a startup, win business plan competition, partner with industry, etc…)
  • What they need/are looking for (other than money) to succeed

Roughly 15 pitches will be given, and there will be ample time (and food provided) to network and partner among the “Pitchers” and the audience around the ideas discussed.

What if I want to “Pitch?”
