About the event

Join the Discussion

Join us at the CCE Public Square as a distinguished panel will discuss how you can get involved in the civic life of your community.

More young people and college students–nearly 75% of WSU students eligible to vote did so in the last election–are voting than ever before. Engagement with the community doesn’t need to start or end with voting, though.

WSU faculty, staff, and students will offer perspectives about how people can get involved or take their civic involvement to the next level. We will discuss the several ways and strategies some highly involved people already use in engaging with the community. As with all Public Square discussions, we want to hear from you–there will be a live Q&A session in which panelists will take your questions about issues that matter most to you.

The Public Square discussion will take place Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. in Butch’s Den in the lower level of the Compton Union Building on the Pullman Campus.

All Public Square discussions are free and open to WSU students and personnel.
