About the event

On November 21st the Center for Digital Scholarship and Curation will host the “Sharing Native Knowledge” event at the Elson S. Floyd Cultural Center with refreshments served following. 

The event will include a screening and panel discussion with representatives from six Columbia Plateau tribes based on their work with the Plateau Peoples’ Web Portal. The videos include traditional dance revival, repatriation, teaching mathematics through traditional practices, treaty education, and an animated coyote story. 

Panelists: Leanne Campbell (schitsu’umsh [Coeur d’Alene]), Audra Vincent (schitsu’umsh [Coeur d’Alene]), Marylee Jones (Yakama), Jolena Tillequots (Yakama), Nakia Williamson (Nimíipuu [Nez Perce]), Valerie Switzler (Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs), moderated by Dr. Kimberly Christen (Director, Center for Digital Scholarship and Curation)
