About the event
The HGSA will be hosting a film screening of Shusenjo: The Main Battlefield Of The Comfort Women Issue, followed by a virtual Q&A session with director Miki Dezaki. This award-winning documentary explores the controversy over the “comfort women” issue in Japan, South Korea, and the U.S. Through interviews with historians, politicians, and human rights lawyers, it examines crucial themes of historical silence and sexual violence.
The event is sponsored by the History Department, the WSU Libraries, and the HGSA.
