About the event

CONCERT PROGRAM

Senior flute performance major Breanna Daley, joined by piano faculty member Dr. Yoon-Wha Roh, will present a recital featuring music inspired by the natural world.

Sofia Gubaidulina’s Sounds of the Forest and Elizabeth Brown’s Trillium portray the birdsong and wildflowers found amongst the trees, while Claude Debussy’s Syrinx depicts a reed-pipe melody played by the nature god Pan. Pietro Morlacchi’s The Swiss Shepherd will complete the program with joyful themes that could be heard in the meadows beneath the Alps.

Breanna will be graduating from WSU with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and a minor in Music Technology in the summer of 2020. In the fall, she will begin pursuing Master of Music degrees in both Flute Performance and Music History at the University of Northern Iowa.
