About the event

Livestream available on YouTube at WSU Pullman Music.

This special concert featuring three instrumental ensembles will begin with the Orchestra as they feature Bogdan “Theo” Mynka, co-winner of the 2019 WSU Concerto/Aria Competition, singing beloved tenor arias by Donizetti, Lalo, and Tchaikovsky.

The Symphonic Band will perform works by Sousa, Nehlybel, and an electroacoustic piece by Alex Shaprio.

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble will perform “Slava” by Leonard Bernstein and the World Premiere of Daniel Bernard Roumain’s concerto for Wind Quintet and Wind Ensemble, “Feeling Black Into the Sky”. This piece and the composer’s residency is supported by a WSU Arts and Humanities Fellowship.

Livestream is made possible by WSU Global Connections.

This concert is open to the public and without charge.
