VoJazz and Big Band II

Join us for an evening of instrumental and vocal jazz music! On Friday April 16th at 8:00 PM in Bryan Hall Theater WSU’s Big Band II and VoJazz will perform their final concert for the year.

WSU’s Jazz Big Band II, directed by graduate student Brian Ploeger will perform for the first half of the program.

The concert will continue with WSU’s VoJazz under the direction of Dr. Dean Luethi and the VoJazz Combo under the direction of graduate student Richard Owens. They will begin their portion of the program with Tim Buchholz’s funk-shuffle arrangement of Horace Silvers “Senor Blues,” Mark Brymer’s arrangement of “Candy” as recorded by “Manhattan Transfer” and Rosana Eckerts arrangement of George Shearings’ “Let’s Live Again. The program will close with Steven SeGrave’s arrangement of “Pure Imagination” from “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and Jeremy Fox’s gospel arrangement of traditional “Amazing Grace.”
