A Foley Distinguished Lecture: Bipartisan electoral reform
Dr. Jacqueline Wilson (Yakama) will lead an overview of Classical Music’s use in Native American communities from the Assimilation Era of Federal Policy through Present Day with a focus on contemporary American composers and performers including Raven Chacon, Connor Chee, and Louis W. Ballard.
Guest artist Dr. Alex Avila will perform a euphonium recital of music by living composers. The program explores influences from Asia, Latin America, jazz, and dance-inspired music. Dr. Avila will be joined by WSU piano faculty member Dr. Yuna Roh.
