Through a fun, interactive simulation, you’ll gain real-world financial planning, saving, and budgeting skills. Take part in an exercise that involves getting assigned a job, salary, and a family, then making financial decision while trying to stay within budget.

This presentation introduces students to important financial topics and setting yourself up for financial success. Topics covered include setting attainable goals, starting salary, ideal spending percentages, budgeting for your first large expenses, building credit, managing debt, investing, and saving for retirement. This is a great information session for students close to graduation as well as students beginning to manage their own personal finances.

Peer Advisor Nayomi will share her tips and tricks of shopping on a budget. She will discuss local shops around Pullman that offer promotions, online stores with reduced prices, and advice that helped her limit overspending.
