ASWSUG: When Your Brain Lies to You: CBT Skills for Students 7 PM
About the event
Two sessions available — students may attend either time: 1:00–2:00 PM PT or 7:00–8:00 PM PT.
College stress isn’t just about what happens — it’s about how we think about it.
Join When Your Brain Lies to You: CBT Skills for Students, a virtual workshop hosted by Shane McFarland from WSU Global Campus as part of SGC Mental Health Week. This interactive session helps students recognize common thinking traps and practice cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) skills using real academic and life stressors.
The workshop will also highlight TimelyCare, WSU’s free, 24/7 virtual mental health resource available to students, including counseling, health coaching, and on-demand emotional support.
Students will leave with practical strategies they can use immediately, along with information about ongoing mental health and wellbeing support available through WSU.
Open to all WSU students, staff, and alumni.
