Who are we?

The ISO manages the flow of electricity across the high-voltage, long-distance power lines that make up 80 percent of California’s and a small part of Nevada’s grid. We are also the Reliability Coordinator for 91% of the electric load in the Western US! The nonprofit public benefit corporation keeps power moving to homes and communities in a reliable, economic, and environmentally conscious manner.Our university programs are invaluable in attracting and retaining the talent needed to advance the ISO to new levels of excellence in a rapidly changing industry.
