This recital features, among other works, a brand new work for horn called Sigh of the Horn by Quanzhong Deng. This ambitious work for solo horn draws from a traditional form of narrative singing. Other works include Shining Moment by Michael Kallstrom, the consortium premiere of Encaustic by Alex Tedrow and the standard competition Horn Concerto by Gordon Jacob.
