NVIDIA DLI Workshop: Building AI Agents with Multimodal Models
About the event
NVIDIA DLI Hands-On Workshop: Building AI Agents with Multimodal Models
Offered for the first time at WSU Pullman, this official NVIDIA instructor-led workshop provides hands-on experience with multimodal AI.
About the Workshop
Like humans use multiple senses, computers use diverse sensors to understand the world. Participants will develop neural-network-based multimodal models and explore fusion techniques for applications in health, robotics, and beyond.
Learning Objectives
Participants will learn about:
- Different data types and how to prepare them for neural networks.
- Model fusion and the differences between early, late, and intermediate fusion.
- PDF extraction using optical character recognition (OCR).
- The difference between modality and agent orchestration.
- Customization of NVIDIA AI Blueprints with Video Search and Summarization (VSS).
Dates, Times, and Format
- Dates: Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15, 2026.
- Time: 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Pacific Time each day.
- Duration: Eight hours across two days.
- Format: In person at WSU Pullman.
- Refreshments: Pizza will be served on both days.
Who Should Apply
WSU students, staff, and researchers seeking a practical next step in deep learning, multimodal AI, and agentic systems.
Prerequisites
Applicants should have either an NVIDIA Fundamentals of Deep Learning certificate or have completed a university-level course in machine learning or a closely related area. Basic Python and neural-network knowledge are expected.
