First-Gen Career and Leadership Series: Talk Stories with the APIDA Student Center

About the event

Join the APIDA Student Center and First-Gen Student Center for a conversation-centered event with Kyle Funakoshi, sharing experiences, building relationships, and learning from one another through storytelling. Connect with Kyle, a first-gen college student and former MSS staff member, to explore personal and cultural perspectives and engage in meaningful dialogue in a welcoming community space.

Kyle Funakoshi is a first-gen college student, former WSU Multicultural Student Services staff member, and current Chief Advancement Officer for the National Forest Foundation.

National First-Gen Day celebrates first-generation students around the country. Held on November 8 every year, this day highlights the unique contributions and successes of first-gen students. At WSU, we use this day to support and elevate first-gen voices with panels, keynotes, networking events, lunches, and more.
