Zoom is the new teleconference tool available to WSU offices across the state beginning July 9. With this program, users can participate in meetings on and off WSU campuses easily from any device with an internet connection. It eliminates the need for external platforms for screensharing and audio, and external users do not need their own license to join meetings.
This implementation of the new teleconference tool contributes to the wider modernization efforts across the WSU campuses. With improved video quality, faster connection speeds, improved academic features for educators hosting hybrid courses or video meetings, and moving away from current physical infrastructure that require continuous maintenance, Zoom is the next step in teleconferencing for all of WSU.
No additional licensing access to the program is available at this time. Zoom will be available for current students, staff, and faculty to access and download on July 9.
