About the event

The Foley Institute series on inequality continues with a virtual talk on Indigenous self-determination in Bolivia, and how this relates to broader anti-colonial and self-determination movements in the Americas.

Bruno Baltonado, a professor of political science at Florida South Western State University will grapple with this topic in his upcoming talk on Wednesday September 15th at 12pm which will focus on how indigenous communities in the Bolivian Highlands have been affected by the codification of Jilakatas elections and how these elections fit into to the movement for indigenous self-determination in the Americas.
