About the event


Yuri Gagarin was the first man to enter space, and he completed one orbit of the earth on April 12, 1961. On the 50th anniversary, Yuri’s night began in Vienna and grew to an annual world space party.

6 p.m. Talks on space

7 p.m. Art exhibit and social hour

9:30 p.m. Local musicians and DeeJays

Location: Jewett Observatory, approximately Grimes & Olympia on the WSU campus.

In the case of clear weather, the telescope will be open for viewing.
