The WSU community is invited to the 2019 MLK Community Celebration, which will feature keynote speaker Ibram X. Kendi. A book signing with Kendi will follow the celebration.

Ibram X. Kendi is a New York Times-bestselling and National Book Award-winning author and historian. His books include Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America, which won the National Book Award for Nonfiction in 2016. His latest book, How to be an Antiracist, will be published in summer 2019. Kendi is also a professor of history and international relations and is the founding director of the Antiracist Research and Policy Center at American University.
