About the event

“With cat-like tred” The Pirates of Penzance will be coming to the Bryan Hall Theatre stage on Family Weekend, April 1 at 7:30 p.m. and April 2 at 2:00 p.m.  The WSU Opera Program will be presenting this comic operetta by Gilbert and Sullivan, directed by Dr. Julie Anne Wieck and accompanied by the WSU Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Danh Pham.  This wonderful cast of students is excited to be back on stage, led by graduate students Kayla Ray as Mabel and Bryce Weber as the Modern Major General, senior Connor McEvoy as the Pirate King and freshman Rowan Dunn as Ruth.  They will be joined by WSU alumnus, Nathan Straub, as Frederick.  Tickets will be available at the door 1 ½ hours before each performance:  $10 students/senior citizens and $15 general admission.  Mark your calendars to join us for live theatre, fabulous music and some laughs!
