WSU’s Outdoor Recreation Center has been introducing Cougs to the wild since 1971 – that’s 50 years of providing wilderness-based recreational equipment, trips, leadership training, and professional development opportunities for WSU students and community members.
Join us as we broadcast this celebration and hear stories of ORC’s origins, while looking forward to the next 50 years of service. Chris Tapfer, who started the program, will share tales of early adventures, how the ORC started, and what kept the program moving forward during his tenure. We hope you can tune in for this nostalgic look back at ORC history.
