Research Communication Workshop

About the event

WSU faculty, staff, and graduate students in all disciplines are invited to learn ways to increase the impact of their research through better communication.

On Friday, Feb. 2, science communication expert Allison Coffin will lead two free workshops providing tools and tips for clearly conveying information about science and other complex research topics to diverse audiences.

An assistant professor of neuroscience at WSU Vancouver, Coffin will lead individual and group exercises in effective communication, and will share proven techniques for distilling scientific and technical information and conveying it in vivid, engaging ways. Participants will gain insights for creating compelling presentations and eliminating jargon, along with some dos and don’ts about talking to media.

Workshops at 9:30-11:00 a.m. and 1:30-3:00 p.m. in the Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE), room 218, WSU Pullman.

Seating is limited, so register today!
