About the event
The WSU School of Music welcomes renowned conductor Ray Cramer to campus from November 18-21, 2019. Professor Cramer is widely regarded as one of the most respected wind conductors in the entire world. He has conducted throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, and has authored several books on conducting and wind literature. The WSU Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will perform their second concert of the semester on the evening of Thursday, November 21, 2019. Each group has programmed works that are meaningful to Maestro Cramer, as he will guest conduct the Symphonic Wind Ensemble in concert. Works include pieces by Kevin Walczyk, Ryan George, Julie Giroux, and Gustav Holst.
This concert is open to the public and without charge.
