About the event
An annual College of Veterinary Medicine event for the whole family!
Teddy Bear Surgery Clinic: Children are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal, get scrubbed in with veterinary students and assist with surgery.
The Open House will also feature:
- an anatomically-painted horse or cow
- hospital tours
- dental trivia questions, arts and crafts, animal/nutrition-themed corn hole, scavenger hunts, and many more opportunities to learn about animals
- numerous veterinary clubs will be on hand to visit with the public
Annual Canine Canter 5K Fun Run at 8:00 AM (more info and registration)
This costume fun run coincides with the Open House and is a fundraiser for the Whitman County Humane Society. It is organized and hosted by the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine’s Canine Club.
