Microgrids are small, autonomous energy systems. Microgrids are indeed a philosophy of life, coming from the idea of generating and consuming energy at the same point, thus avoiding electricity (energy) long distance transmission losses. The idea can be translated to water, food, or life.
This thesis proposal aims at bridging the gap between the theoretical work on approximation algorithms and efficient parallel algorithms for the Influence Maximization Problem to enable advancements in the achievable quality of results and scale.
Accessibility is a field that is of ever-increasing importance. An alternate title for this talk could be “Accessibility – everything they won’t teach you in school but will need to know.” This talk will present a brief look at how the speaker got into the accessibility area of computer science.
