Cybersecurity and Quantum Computation in Control of Cyberphysical Systems for Next-Generation Manufacturing
Currently, there’s over 200,000 fleets across the United States, and they have a mandate for electrification. Some of the concerns are reducing the scope of two emissions, how much is it going to cost to actually electrify these vehicles and continued electricity costs to charge these vehicles, as well as the risk of vehicles not being charged the next day.
This seminar will focus on recent and ongoing R&D activities and future directions for power systems with high renewable energy penetration with an emphasis on grid-forming inverters that are considered essential to stabilize low-inertia grids, overcoming drawbacks of the traditional inverter control approach and grid-following control.
