Title: Behavioral Security Research in Information Systems

Speaker: Robert E. Crossler

Abstract: A number of cyber security threats are caused by human behavior. A stream of research in information systems, known as behavioral security research, explores what causes people to make security-related decisions. In this presentation, a history of the theoretical lenses used within behavioral security research will be discussed. This will be followed by a presentation of some ongoing studies that seek to expand on current theoretical understandings in this domain.
