Ashley Holtrop will be performing three pieces in fulfillment of her senior half recital: Fantaisie by Phillipe Gaubert, Arlequin by Louis CAHUZAC; a short unaccompanied character piece and Johannes Brahms’s Clarinet Sonata Opus 120 No. 2.

Sophia Tegart and Sarah Miller perform Wail, a thrilling piece that draws from film noir, funk, and the distinct timbres of the flute and trombone, Wail is the perfect way to unite two instruments from the opposite ends of the musical spectrum.

Playing music from the Baroque to the present, the Palouse Brass Ensemble will perform an eclectic program of original compositions and transcriptions. The group comprises teachers and performers from the area who are dedicated to education through performance.

The WSU Symphony Orchestra presents their first concert of the 2018-2019 year! The concert features beloved classics of the orchestral repertoire, including Richard Wagner’s “Prelude to Die Meistersingers” and Ralph Vaughan Wiliams’s “Folk Song Suite.”

A concert of surround-sound compositions from WSU music professor Scott Blasco’s new digital album from Irritable Hedgehog Music, “Pentecost.” Includes new mixes of “The Deeps,” “Clouds, Light,” and “Pentecost,” as well as the world premiere of the new work “Transfiguration.”
