Kristo Gobin is a Professor of Communications Studies at Loyola Marymount University and this session is his story about being a first-generation college student.
This session will begin by explaining Brené Brown’s theory of shame and pairing it with the First Freaking Times Model of how to manage hurdles that come with being a first-generation college student.
