Reinforcing Learning: How to Incorporate Starting Pauses

Pausing for 2-3 minutes during a lecture/clinical teaching can significantly increase short-term memory and embed knowledge into students’ long-term memory (Ruhl, et al., 1987; Prince, 2004).
