About the event

As a land grant institution, WSU has a duty to see that our amazing research and innovations serve our communities and region. One way that can happen is for these technologies to be further developed into products and services through commercialization. Most faculty, staff and graduate students are aware of the first step in submitting their innovation disclosures to the Office of Commercialization. SP3NW can help you determine if entrepreneurship is a reasonable next step and, if so, how to get started.

SP3NW is WSU’s membership-based incubator providing wrap-around support to startup companies developing scalable technologies. We advise individuals who either have their own intellectual property (IP) and are looking to license their WSU IP from the Office of Commercialization.

Our eight-session WSU boot camp will help innovators evaluate their readiness for entrepreneurship:

  1. Technology and Commercialization readiness
  2. IP Considerations and Licensing 101
  3. Market Analysis
  4. Business Model Canvas
  5. Early Customer Discovery
  6. Entity Formation
  7. Funding
  8. Service providers and partnerships

We invite you to attend a 30-minute virtual orientation Wednesday, May 17, at 4 p.m. to learn more about SP3NW.
