Generating functions are power series whose coefficients relate to combinatorial sequences. Using set constructions, we can produce the generating function for a myriad of challenging combinatorial problems.

Dr. Chi is a recipient of the NSF Career Award and has an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, and a Ph.D. and M.A. in Statistics.
