A Celebration of Trailblazing Women in Classical Music
About the event
The Association for Faculty Women is continuing our 50th anniversary programs with “A Celebration of Trailblazing Women in Classical Music,” and you are invited to attend!
Co-chaired by Melissa Parkhurst and Fabio Menchetti, this program will feature live musical performances by WSU faculty Chris Dickey, Fabio Menchetti, Sophia Tegart, and Jacqui Wilson. Together, they will fill the Terrell Library Atrium with music written by women composers.
This event is open to all, including family and friends. We also invite important campus partners, including the WSU Women*s Center, President’s Commission on the Status of Women, President’s Commission for Gender, Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation, ADVANCE at WSU, WSU Faculty Senate, Office of the Provost, and incoming WSU president Cantwell, as our special guests. Together, we will celebrate the efforts of AFW over the past 50 years, and the trail we are continuing to blaze into the future. This event will be free to attend.
Please RSVP to let us know you are coming.

We look forward to seeing you on March 31!
