It seems in today’s world that everyone is some sort of trainer, or health expert coming at you with the latest trick to lose inches of your waist, or get “rocken abs” in 13 seconds (insert sarcasm). Sadly, a large portion of these individuals have no clue what they are talking about, and often provide more harm than good.
The first part of this lecture recital is a brief overview of LGBTQ terminology, with tips on being an Ally to the LGBTQ community. The second part introduces concepts of feminist musicology through a feminist analysis of three works for piano by LGBTQ composers.
