About the event

A “star” is the ultimate mark of success in life. Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a successful student leader? This interactive workshop is a 5-step guide that will make you “shine” as an extraordinary leader at your school. This presentation explores the importance of mentors, credibility, persistence, being authentic, unleashing your full potential and giving back. Participants will identify their own leadership strengths and areas to improve. They will discuss ways to develop and practice their leadership skills in the classroom and the real world. Come acquire the skills it takes to inspire others and become All-S.T.A.R.S.

Driven by our commitment to support student engagement and serve as a launchpad for highly impact practices, the Office of Academic Engagement has been working with various community partners and professional staff outside of the university to provide students with workshops to complement their learning and support them during these trying times.  These workshops will be delivered via ZOOM.  Once registered, we will email the information on how to connect prior to the events.
