Title: Cyber Overview and Opportunities of the AFRL/RI

Abstract: This seminar talk introduces the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate (AFRL/RI) in Rome, New York and its Cyber Core Technical Competency. It overviews Air Force and Space Force cyber strategy, technological trends of interest in the cyber area, and student experiential learning opportunities at AFRL/RI.

Speaker Bio: Sonja Glumich is a Senior Research Computer Scientist for the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate (AFRL/RI) in Rome, New York. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she earned a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Information Technology. At AFRL/RI, she serves as the Air Force program manager for the VICEROY program, which establishes virtual cyber institutes at universities around the country and provides experiential cyber learning opportunities for undergraduate students. Her research interests include security systems engineering, cyber vulnerability assessments, and cyber education.
