Abstract
Nowadays, the security community is facing challenges from not only lone individuals, but also organizations with strategic agendas, which have caused enormous loss in social welfare, national security, and global economy. To overcome the challenges, this talk focus on securing ubiquitous systems and protect end users from cyber attacks through enhanced security mechanisms with intelligent defense strategies. We investigate the security and privacy issues in critical applications and services, through exploring control logic modification attacks and memory management issues existed in cyber physical systems, artificial intelligence privacy in mobile devices, and malware detection in general purpose computers.

Bio
Ruimin Sun is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences, Northeastern University. Before that, she received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida in 2019. Her recent research aims at securing programmable logic controllers, embedded systems, and proprietary AI models on edge devices.
