About the event

Public Reading of The US Constitution 2024

Monday, September 16th at 12:00 – 1:00 PM PT

To celebrate Constitution and Citizenship Day, the ASWSUG, in collaboration with WSU Libraries, will host a virtual public reading of the Constitution (with amendments) starting at 12:00 noon on Monday, Sept. 16. The reading takes about an hour. The event is FREE and open to ALL WSU students, faculty, and staff. Constitution and Citizenship Day is designated by law to commemorate the signing of the Constitution in 1787 and to “recognize all who, by coming of age or by naturalization, have become citizens.”

Please register here to become a part of reading our living document – The US Constitution. Attendees will receive a constitution booklet and a Coug Vote sticker, which will be mailed out after the event. For more information on the WSU reading and related resources, see the WSU library guide or the National Constitution Day website.
