Starting a business is hard work and deploying limited capital resources needs an understanding of priorities and timeline. In this Startup Advisor Lunch and Learn, Allie and Jamie will cover the concepts around legal assistance for:

  2. Intellectual property protection
  3. Fundraising

SPEAKER BIO

Counsel Allison Glasunow is experienced in patent preparation and prosecution in U.S. and foreign jurisdictions, post-grant review procedures at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), freedom to operate analysis, and patent landscape analysis. Allison counsels clients on technical and legal matters concerning patentability and strategy to develop their patent portfolios. Her background includes patent matters involving clinical trials and product approvals at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In addition, Allison assists with due diligence and patent litigation matters.

Jamie Nicole Johnson represents emerging growth companies from their earliest stages through exit events. She advises clients on entity formation as well as multiple fundraising and financing methods, including friends and family, angel, venture capital, growth equity, and strategic investments. She also counsels her clients on board matters, equity compensation, and other corporate legal issues. Jamie also represents investors that invest in emerging growth companies, including venture capitalists, family offices, and corporate venture groups.
