TOPIC: Mapping the Playground and its Resources – Antimicrobial stewardship is important in clinical practice; yet, it can seem a bit daunting, especially considering the plethora of regulations, tools, and guidance to consider. This presentation will walk through the overarching principles of stewardship applicable in all veterinary settings, highlight key regulations to keep in mind when working with food animal species (even if they are pets), and point you toward helpful and important resources. The goal is to provide a framework that will enable you to have greater confidence in navigating the antimicrobial regulatory landscape and in making stewardship decisions.
