Join Us: Pain Management & Opioid Use in Older Adults
About the event
Opioid use among older adults is a growing concern, with an estimated 1 million seniors affected by opioid use disorder. Age-related changes make this population particularly vulnerable to complications such as respiratory depression, falls, cardiac conduction impairment, and cognitive decline.
Join us next Wednesday, March 19 from noon – 1 pm for a virtual webinar on Pain Management and Opioid Use & Complications Among Older Adults presented by Dr. Scott Phillips, Executive and Medical Director of the Washington Poison Center in Seattle.
This engaging session will explore best practices for prescribing opioids safely, alternative pain management strategies, and how to prevent and address opioid-related complications.
