This lecture will concentrate on the infectious diseases that have neurologic ramifications. Examples include the viral diseases, protozoal diseases, fungal diseases and the rickettsial diseases that not only have systemic effects but neurologic complications as well. Clinical presentations, diagnostic tools and treatment options will be discussed.
